Action Theater :: Improvisation of Presence
I practice and study this exceptional form of physical-theater improvisation, the life work of Ruth Zaporah (who now teaches in Berkeley, California!).
In Ruth's words: The practice of Action Theater incorporates the disciplined exploration of embodied exercises that lead to increased skills of strong, clear, spontaneous, and artful communication.
It's a means for renewing our source energy in the body, imagination, and in-the-moment presence. And... fun!
At present, I lead and teach a practice group that meet every few weeks, in West Marin, to explore and immerse in Action Theater.
Participation is casual, with continuity recommended.
This is a chance for anyone to step into this fun,
intriguing practice in very do-able ways.
